Activity Title

Management of Advanced Pulmonary Sarcoidosis

 

Program Goals

Pulmonary sarcoidosis is responsible for most morbidity, mortality, and healthcare use in sarcoidosis. Advanced pulmonary sarcoidosis accounts for most of the poor outcomes. This presentation will focus on identification of advanced pulmonary sarcoidosis and the challenges in managing these patients.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for medical professionals who have a clinical interest in the management of lung transplant patients as seen by the following medical specialists: Pulmonologists, Hospitalists, Intensivists, Primary Care Providers, Internists, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners.

Learning Objectives

After completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify and evaluate patients with advanced pulmonary sarcoidosis.
  • Review current and emerging knowledge to improve management of advanced pulmonary sarcoidosis patients.
  • Identify challenges and possible approaches in these patients.
